One of the most shameful schemes pulled off by car manufacturers is the “buyback”…

This is when a manufacturer bought back a car that is considered a lemon. And instead of destroying it (or properly fixing it), they recycle it back into the marketplace through an auto auction. They often do this without disclosure of its true history of problems and defects.

A buyback is also referred to as a “laundered lemon”.

This is one of the many reasons I never recommend buying a used car. Instead, we can get new cars at used car prices using my KTL leasing system.
